I started this sculpture while on a surf trip to the Mentawais in October 2022. I even worked on it in the lookout tower at our surf camp. A super casual surfer in a huge Mentawai barrel. Island scene and clouds. It's what I envisioned I could look like surfing there. Just a dream a good one though. Actual copper and iron rust over resin casting. The outer rusty frame is sculpted to look like rattan. Outer
