Yokosuka City in August 1998
Despite the chaotic nature of the music
pushing language to a point beyond legibility
It’s a million miles from the polish and rigour of GRM
empty playgrounds and windy days walking home in the dark comes alive throughout the five segments on the album
Gerhard Rühm – Ausgewählte Kurze Hörstücke (1961-1987) [LP] Jazz / Free Improv Yokosuka City in August 1998"Edition of 300 copies. Includes 6 page leporello (63 x 29,7 cm) with linernotes by Gerhard Rhm in English & German. Unlike previous Rhm editions on Tochnit Aleph which portrayed his phonetic poetry and longform radio plays, the pieces on this edition are more conceptual, actionistic and (mostly) sound based works recorded between 1962 and 1987."
