Cherry Compote with Balsamic Vinegar by Acetaia Leonardi new site sale REALE's line of Crema diComposta is the Italian word for stewed fruit. Traditional compote is texturally quite different from jellies or jam preserves, which are cooked longer and with the addition of thickening agents. Envision a chunky syrup with just the right amount of Balsamic zest to brighten the palate! Compotes are more spoonable than spreadable, which allows for more versatility in the kitchen. They can be used for toppings, fillings, sauces, or side condiments.
