Jaz O, known as Jay Zs early mentor, had been active since the late '80s but remained largely behind the scenes while Hov ascended to superstardom. This album was his return to the mic, bringing classic New York street rap energy with a raw, independent hustle. The album, which flew under the radar, is a gritty, boom bap heavy East Coast project
