The GM500 has and investment-cast 316L stainless steel body with hand-polished outer surfaces

Cannon's Swivel Base and other downriggers will need the addition of the appropriate Burnewiin adapter plate

or other custom base

Rod removal is quick and clean in any position

SC1036 Scotty Downrigger Adapter Plate This plate is only necessaryThe SC1036 Scotty Downrigger Adapter Plate mounts to the Burnewiin UM6080 Universal Mount insert, creating an adapter for the mounting pattern on the Scotty (TM) No. 1026 swivel base. If you want to minimize bulk and save weight and space, you can skip the swivel base and attach the Scotty (TM) #1023 Tilt Up Base directly to the SC1036 plate using the (4) 1 4 20 holes on the interior smaller rectangular hole pattern.
