York Goodramgate Contrajour, framed original painting on board underground This is a light heartedThe whole street of Goodramgate in York is flooded with light in this painting around mid day and it is always bustling with people. This painting has been part of my private collection since it was created in 2010 at a time when I was using photographic reference for my paintings to achieve the most realistic impressions. I don't do that so much now, other than to gain the essence of places. The drama in this painting is accentuated by the light and
