Victorian Amethyst & Diamond Cluster Pendant, Boxed French and carries a French importAn exquisite mid Victorian amethyst and diamond pendant, c. 1860, beautifully preserved in its original fitted case from the London jewellers Barker & Smith, Cornhill. The pendant features a deep, richly coloured pear shaped amethyst surrounded by a halo of bright old cut diamonds, suspended from a round cut amethyst surmount. The stones are mounted in silver and backed in gold a classic 19th century combination enhancing both contrast and brilliance.
