It is a direct replacement for the stock intake manifold on Holden V8 engines fitted with VN cylinder heads. This is an air gap style design which provides air space under the plenum which helps cool the intake charge and produce more power. Calflow intake manifolds are cast from steel moulds, not sand. These permanent steel moulds provide a tighter grain casting, thereby reducing porosity
