把時間轉回到 1990 年，BUFF® 創辦人 Joan Rojas ( 喬安‧洛哈斯 )，家族經營紡織業卻因為面臨不景氣，營收漸漸下滑。熱愛越野騎車的洛哈斯暫別工作，與他的朋友展開西班牙南部騎乘之旅。『當時我將用不著的軍服褲管剪下來套在脖子上，以防止騎車時風沙侵襲口鼻、同時保持脖子和胸口的溫暖。』洛哈斯回憶到。『軍用褲戴起來有點癢、又不美觀，但防風的效果不錯，如果加以改進，對騎車的人會更方便！』他腦子慢慢勾勒出魔術頭巾的藍圖，回到家後立即著手設計花紋，並利用家族紡織的技術，改採用超細纖維布料，製做出世界第一條無接縫的管狀頭巾。
