The Favorite Foundry (OH) was an early 1900‘s foundry that was only in production until roughly 1938

It has a small fully restored area at the 12 O'Clock position that had some surface pitting

They never made a 2 or 3 in a heat ring so it matches the sets of both

but when we came upon it

its been restored from one hundred years of use and ready for the next hundred years

The oval skillet was made in three sizes and this is the size seen the most. The surface is mostly smooth with some unevenness that will darken with each repeat seasoning. It sits mostly flat, but will move on glass. We have one that we use on glass frequently so it's subjective. Its a fantastic piece for daily use and will display beautifully in your gourmet
