This antique Staffordshire piece is surrounded by a border of garden flowers and foliage, the central area has a desert scene showing a man holding a camel by a halter with date palms and three pyramids in the distance. This distinctive platter in a good rich blue was produced by John and Richard Riley at their Burslem pottery which was established in 1802. They produced fine
