These beautiful elegant wading birds, breed on the moorland fringe near our home on the Oa in the south west corner of Islay off the west coast of Scotland. We sketch the bird and then transfer the design to a linoblock before carving with a fine tool. Each piece is individually hand printed and therefore subtly unique.
