It opens with heady incense notes, cranberry and cherry fruit, black olive and olive stone, followed by liquorice, tar and dried rose petals. Theres a striking purity of fruit and juicy acid tension, though the soaring tannins are still cloaking much of it in the wines youth. Give it time or decant the hell out of it and savour every bit of its savoury nuance.
