The prominent grape variety in Almansa is Garnacha Tintorera along with Monastrell. The 2017 Laya is 70% Garnacha Tintorera and 30% Monastrell planted around 1000 metres above sea level and aged for 4 months in French oak barrels. Deep red cherry in color.
