The runner depicts numerous colorful, tribal geometric motifs, as well as human figures, all rendered in beautiful, old vegetable dye colors. One end of the rug includes the Arabic numerals 1329, corresponding to the year 1911 in the western, Gregorian calendar. Weavers in northwest Iran, near the town of
