After I'd placed all of the various pieces onto this layout

I had amassed quite a stash and was able to make them the focus of an entire piece laid out on a black paperboard

and I was there on the morning after the 4th of July to see how many I could find

but I was able to make the next best thing

They often don't look like much when I pick them up off the sandy beach, but when taken home, cleaned up and positioned under some good light, those contoured shapes and creamy, beige, off white colors carry some real depth.
