Ancient Hampshire Track, Tidgrove Estate | Limited Edition Print dog and the classic mongrelAncient Hampshire Track, Tidgrove Estate Part of the public footpath through the Tidgrove Estate in Hampshire follows the top of an old Roman road. Built from tightly interlocking flints and lined by mature beech trees, the track joins the Portwaythe historic route running from Silchester towards Salisburyand led towards the site of a Roman villa on the estate. The survival of the road gives the landscape an unusual physical connection with its past.
