It has four strings and is a low pitched instrument in the son jarocho string family of instruments. The len or vozarrona, bigger than the former, is the lowest instrument in son jarocho genre. This leona was made by master luthier Miguel ngel Bravo Hernandez from Tlacotalpan, Veracruz. The body and neck is made out of a single, hollowed out, piece of cedar.
