The construction is very primitive suggesting 19th or possibly even 18th century

featuring ‘Britains Tool Factory’ stamp

Complete with Capstan and Ward Turret Lathes branding on the rear

Marked with PAT No 1571 The rule has 2 date stamps, one for 1945 which we presume to be the manufacture date, the other is a military broad arrow stamp for 1953.
