Bernstein, Leonard - Original Conducting Baton and Composing/Correcting Pencils Bayreuth Programs Robert HaleStar American composer and conductor (1918 1990), who was the first conductor born and educated in the US to receive worldwide acclaim. Fantastic set with one of his original conducting batons, used by the conductor, and 2 pencils that belonged to him: Conducting baton made by R. Horowitz, Mr. Bernsteins baton maker, and timpanist for decades of the Met Opera Orchestra, signed R. Horowitz 7 11 85. Baton is 11 inches long. One of Leonard Bernsteins
