Late 19th century art nouveau hotel desk bell

c. 1960s Welch Demonstration Micrometer industrial 5" x 4" x 4"HOversized classroom demonstration model of a micrometer. This piece was manufactured by W. M. Welch Scientific Co. in Chicago, who in addition to lab equipment, specialized in large scale models of scientific instruments for educational purposes. They were in operation from 1880 until 1968 when they were bought out by The E. H. Sargent Co.
