I used warmer tones on this painting including mauves and burgundy to give that really earthy and warm feeling. The trees on the edges of the painting are like big comforting arms ready for a hug. Every time I drive down a country road, I can feel my body begin to soften and the weight on my shoulders drop. The stillness of misty mornings also gives me this feeling.
