Here's a super nice and clean 2011 Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Telecaster Custom body finished in 3-Tone Sunburst

Shows minor wear and one more prominent finish crack on the top that has been clearly pictured

Shows very light wear (nicks in tolex that have been touched up with a black marker) that is not noticeable from a short distance

I've experienced this before in vintage Japanese guitars and I'm not sure if this was a common error on the original build or just how it was perceived the tone control should operate
