Purple Violets — Giclée on Paper Book Glen captured it with theA clump of purple violets in full spring bloom the heart shaped leaves dense and fresh, the purple flowers nestled among them, a few bare twigs from last season still visible above. This is one of Glen's most intimate and tenderly observed botanical studies: the whole violet clump rendered as a single living thing, the leaves overlapping and turning at different angles, the flowers appearing between them at different heights. The violet was one of
