Important Victorian Moonstone, Diamond & Pink Sapphire Brooch this stunning Pansy with herA magnificent piece featuring a moonstone of over 20 carats, sizable rose cut and old mine cut diamonds, and pink sapphires. An outstanding specimen of late 19th century American craftspersonship in solid 18ct. A black enamel band surrounds the face. The eye catching center stone in this brooch enchants the viewer with both adularescence and asterism, or the starburst effect an optical reflectance effect seen in certain gemstones, such as this one.
