It is usually tied into a simple "taiko musubi" knot. This one is made of roughly spun, thicker fabric in raspberry pink and cream colors. The point pattern depicts two peony flowers on a geometric background. A similar pattern is repeated at the other end of the obi. Please note, this is a vintage item. Tere is a dark stain where the obi is folded.
