Unfortunately there was some glaze "crawling" during the kiln firing

The sgraffito designs were then scratched/carved through the underglaze

After patching it on the backside the front didn't look perfect

This piece started out as a symmetrical wheel thrown form, which was then altered by hand. The deep red clay is a dramatic contrast with the glaze. Smudge pot, luminary or purely a decorative piece, you choose! Approximately: 6" tall.
