Antique CHI‑VO Varnish Tin‑on‑Cardboard Advertising Standee US Army and old knotsc. 1920s; Chicago Varnish Co. Chicago Tinoncard countertop advertising sign for CHIVO varnish with fauxparquet graphics, bold block lettering of "CHIVO for Interior Woodwork and Floors" with an illustrated yellow can of the product. Lithoprinted in warm wood tones, the tin face simulates parquet blocks framed by a geometric border that reads pure Deco shopwindow trompel'oeil craft. Founded in 1865, the Chicago Varnish Company grew into a leading U. S.
