I wanted the piece to offer a softer perspective

Theres always that same rush of nerves mixed with excitement. For this Carrick a Rede print, I first painted the scene traditionally, then scanned it in and added digital finishing touches to bring it all together. I wanted to capture both the drama of the height and the beauty of the coastline that balance between fear and awe you feel standing there.
