Late 19th century reel owing to the lack of model number on the reel foot (instituted at the turn of the century), or serial number (instituted in 1908). This model was later dubbed the "Peerless" in 1911. German silver hard rubber construction. The hard rubber side plates are in excellent condition with no cracks. Mechanically the reel remains in excellent condition. The oil
