The polished "spitfire" finish is original. The diameter of the reel is 3 7 8" with a spool width of 7 8". Mechanically the reel works very well with an effective range of tension to suit one's needs. The foot has been shaped on both ends. A great reel for the price and one you don't see for sale very often.
